How to Use the Strat Pattern Scanner

Scan results are refreshed once a day at about 05:20 AM UTC. The "Last scan" time at the top of the sidebar shows when the data you are viewing was generated.

1. Choosing a timeframe (1d / 1wk / 1mo / 3mo)

The dropdown at the top of the sidebar switches the whole table between scan timeframes: 1d (daily bars), 1wk (weekly), 1mo (monthly) and 3mo (quarterly). Each timeframe is a separate scan, so the list of tickers and patterns changes when you switch. Your filter settings are kept when you change timeframe.

2. The buttons

3. Sorting the table

Every column header is clickable. Click once to sort ascending (▲), click the same header again to flip to descending (▼). Price, MrktCap, AvgVol and ATR sort numerically; the other columns sort alphabetically. Sorting works on top of whatever filters are active and is kept when you change filters or timeframe.

4. The columns

Reading TFC

Each of the five characters describes one timeframe (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly):

Green characters are pointing up, red characters down. When all five agree in one direction the ticker has Full Time Frame Continuity (FTFC) — filter for those with the FTFC dropdown.

5. The filters

All filters combine — a row must pass every active filter to stay visible. The result count is shown at the top of the sidebar.
